I'm going to explain how to use tools properly and and what there use's are and whats the right way and wrong way of using them.
How to use a ball peen hammer and USE
- Ball peen hammer is used in variety of peening used for both shaping and striking. And striking punches and chisels, in metal fabrication.
- Firstly hold firmly like making a hand shake
- Make sure hammer head secure and not loose
- Check for cracks and chips in hammer before use
- Hold the hammer close towards the middle of hammer
- Always wear safety glasses
- Always watch out for fingers
- Wear steel toed boots in case for falling objects
How to use a metal filer
- Always check handle is on tight and not loose
- Check for rust, chips and cracks
- Always use two hands when filing
- Don’t hit or drop file.
- Wear safety when filing overhead.
HACKSAW
- Before using hacksaw check that the blade secure and not loose.
- check for any damage to hacksaw blade.
- When about to cut keep fingers far from blade
- when cutting stand at safe distance and don't rush when cutting for the hacksaw might break and get fingers.
- always wear safety glasses when using the hacksaw.
LATHE
When using the lathe always wear safety goggles and stregthen any loose clothing or jewelery hanging down and also makesure that the safety guard is down. Makesure that you understand and know how to use it. Don't use any tools of any sort while lathe is in operation, also keep concentration when using lathe.
GRINDER
Always use safety goggles
lower guards and roll up sleeves of overalls.
know wat ur grinding and never grind small pieces of metal.
DRILL
When using drill makesure that drill is locked in with the chuck key.
also lower guard when drilling.
lock whatever is being drilled with vice or anything else to stop movement.
